Why you need more green in your life!
Most of us live in towns and cities with little access to nature and, as a mom, you may be worried that your kids are spending too much time indoors and not enjoying the outdoors enough.
Of course, trips to the local park and playing in the yard can help with this but what if you live in an apartment or you have a tiny garden?
The good news is that there are some great ways to introduce greenery into your life.
You can introduce more greenery into your life is to have a green fence instead of an ugly, concrete or wooden one in the garden. This would make for a lovely fresh green garden. You could also get beautiful greenery frames with creepers both indoors and outdoors. These frames are actually stunning in a home office.
I absolutely love a green LivePicture. That is a green wall system with all natural and real plants. I have seen some with artificial plants, and they are cute. but real plants give you a feeling of nature at home. The also make a great eye catcher in your home office. And how about a LivePicture as an interesting background in your photos?
Adding more greenery to your life doesn’t have to break the bank and if you don’t have green fingers, start small by buying a house plant! Having even one houseplant inside can help to purify the air and remove toxins that may be causing allergies or illnesses. If your kids have asthma, a plant could help as it also helps to humidify the air.
Indoor plants also increase oxygen levels in the home and this is a great help, especially when it’s too hot or too cold and you need to keep the windows shut to heat or cool your living space effectively.
Too little oxygen in the air can lead to a lack of concentration and feeling tired and sluggish. Not only that, a plant is just something really pretty to have around and can create a sense of calm to a busy household.
With climate change being a real thing, we need to do all we can to help reduce our carbon footprint. Planting more trees and plants can help to counter this, so why not consider creating a green roof if you don’t have a garden? Your kids would love this as well and would enjoy spending time surrounded by calming plants instead of breathing in harmful fumes from vehicles!
